ICW interviews HIV positive women from India and Nepal about their experiences of abortion services
In 2008 ICW conducted qualitative semi-structured interviews with HIV positive women from India and Nepal who had accessed or tried to access abortion services about their experiences. Key informants from both countries were also interviewed regarding abortion services. These studies were conducted under the International Planned Parenthood Federation’s (IPPF) Global Comprehensive Abortion Care Project to generate data with regard to unsafe abortion and provision of services. The data from these and other similar studies will be used to attune abortion related health care and increase awareness for availability of such services.
